
Is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 whose primary purpose is to encourage, stimulate and assist community organizations to design, establish, own, manage and operate successful industrial and commercial business enterprises thereby creating employment and other economic opportunities for disadvantaged and under privileged groups and individuals.
Further, to engage in community service endeavors including the improvement of housing conditions and to promote and offer youth programs for the encouragement of education, religion and overall quality of live improvement.
First District Self Help, Inc. is governed by a board of directors from various professional and ecumenical backgrounds from across the country.
